Mrs Lesley E Bill BSC FSMC

Mrs Lesley E Bill BSC FSMC
Lesley also qualified from Aston University 1969 and then spent a year at The Exeter Eye Infirmary gaining the valuable experience that only working in a hospital environment can offer. Mrs Bill can be found in the practice on Mondays and Tuesdays but also spends much of her time visiting those patients who are house bound, so they can have their eyes tested in the comfort of their own home.

Mr Charles P Bill BSc MC Optom

Mr Charles P Bill BSc MC Optom
Charles graduated from Glasgow University in 1996 and followed in his mother’s foot steps by training with the Ophthalmic Department in Exeter, which is now part of The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. Charles still runs a paediatric clinic at Torbay Hospital and so if you are worried about your child’s eye sight we would recommend you book an appointment to see him.
Charles is also meticulous when it comes to spectacle dispensing so if you have a strong prescription and have never been happy with your glasses Charles may well be able to solve your problems.

John Campbell BSc MC Optom

John Campbell BSc MC Optom
John has been an optometrist for more than twenty years after graduating from Cardiff University with honours. For sixteen years he was a senior optometrists with Boots Opticians with the special responsibility of training their graduate students to become fully qualified optometrists. John is now working in our Dawlish practice with the emphasis on more personal style of eye care. He feels that the independent practice approach at Bill Opticians offers a superior service than the corporate spectacle retailing now found on most high streets.

Mr James W Bill FBDO (CL)

Mr James W Bill FBDO (CL)
James first qualified as a dispensing optician in December 1993 and then went on to gain The Association of British Dispensing Opticians’ specific Contact Lens Practitioners qualification. Before returning to Devon James managed a number of prestigious practices in London’s West End. These including fashionable outlets in Covent Garden and Kings Road, as well as a Contact Lens Clinic in Wigmore Street, considered by many in the industry to be the home of optometry in Britain.
When it comes to contact lenses we are totally independent, this means we have an infinite range of contact lenses at our disposal - so whatever your prescription it is worth booking an appointment to see James, you may be surprised at the vision and comfort achieved with modern contact lenses.

Miss Katherine L Robinson BSc MC Optom

Miss Katherine L Robinson BSc MC Optom
Katherine first encountered Bill Opticians seven years ago when she was still at School and joined us for a weeks work experience. Since then she has worked as the Saturday girl and has joined us during every school holiday – she has probably done every job in the practice. In 2005 she graduated from Cardiff University with an honours degree in optometry and has been testing eyes with us ever since. She too has gained valuable experience through the Hospital Eye Service and brings with her the latest ophthalmic techniques.
